    YAGOLE (Butterfly) DAYCARE
    Overview

The goal of the AHRDA Program is to provide quality child care on reserve for children of working or training parents. Yagole Daycare Centre was opened in 2003 by former chief Joyce Metchewais.

    Principles:

    • Provide quality, culturally sensitive, accessible and affordable child care in a safe environment
    • Ensure caregivers/practitioners have access to training, certification and accreditation
    • Ensure the resources provided for child care are used to meet the needs of children in daycare and that they produce measurable results
    • Establish communication linkages and partnerships with services to children's programming to achieve efficient and effective programming for children in the community
    • Develop a fair and equitable parental fee structure
