Cold Lake First Nations Finance Department is responsible for sound financial accounting practices in regards to allocation of funds and expenses. The department administers payroll and allocation of funding for income support programs, along with issuing pay cheques, purchase orders and bills. All transactions are authorized by the respective departments. Funding is received from four departments (Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development (DIAND)( www.ainc-inac.gc.ca/), Health Canada (www.hc-sc.gc.ca), Canada Mortgage Housing Corporation (CMHC) (www.cmhc-schl.gc.ca) and Human Resources Development Canada (HRDC)(www.hrdc-drhc.gc.ca)
