    Appeals

    Introduction:

Before initiating an appeal, calm down and think clearly about your responsibilities and your rights. Have you exhausted all of your options? Did you meet the deadlines for your application? Did you meet all of the criteria? Did you do all of your follow-up to qualify? These and other questions should be clearly thought out.

    • Do not personally attack anyone involved with the process, this may hinder your chances. Not every life or classroom frustration can or should be the object of an appeal
    • You should be aware that an Appeal Hearing is the last step action, all other means of resolving issues, should be exhausted before formally requesting an appeal.
    • Requests for an Appeal Hearing will only be granted to those who have stayed within the process as outlined.
    • Lobbying any Board Members when initiating an appeal or when in the midst of appeal may terminate your appeal
