We Need Your Input On The Impending Changes In The Child Welfare Law, Bill C-92 (Kids in Care). Please Take This Important Survey.

While some members of our Nations have benefited from the services provided by CFS or its Delegated First Nations Authority (DFNA), other members of our Nations have suffered greatly under the existing Child Welfare system, including the removal of children from their family and their community.

This survey is part of the Tribal Council’s effort to gather community input regarding their experiences and/or opinion about Child Welfare Services on our Nations. Your honest input will help us determine what actions to take in improving child and family services provided to members of our Nations. The survey is anonymous, meaning that no personal information will be gathered, unless it is something that you want to provide to us.

This work has been approved by leadership of all 6 TCVI member Nations, and the survey has been reviewed and approved by TCVI’s ad hoc committee on CFS. If you have any questions or concerns about this survey, please contact Therese Houle, TCVI’s Social Development Coordinator, at 780-481-3363.

Thank you in advance for participating in this voluntary, anonymous survey!
