On Saturday, March 23rd, Cold Lake First Nations came together with Concordia University of Edmonton to host a Partnership Celebration & Tea Dance.
Our Members in Edmonton enjoyed a soup & bannock dinner, as well as witnessed the signing of our new partnership agreement with Concordia University. The intent of this Partnership is to establish a framework through which both parties can foster and develop a relationship through such activities as:
- Revitalizing Denesuline language among Cold Lake First Nations members in the Edmonton area through the creation of a language nest.
- Bringing Dene knowledge, ways of knowing and culture to Concordia’s campus.
- Providing a space for Cold Lake First Nations meetings and gatherings on Concordia’s campus.
We are excited about what this partnership means for our Nation and for our Members.
