A Safe and Nurturing Environment for Our Children

FCSS Family & Community Support Services

Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) is developed to promote, encourage and facilitate the development of stronger communities. This is accomplished by supporting both the individual and the community as a whole.

The mandate of FCSS is to work closely with provincial Children Services offices in supporting families, and the community at large, to provide the most nurturing and safe environments for our children. We also bring awareness and support toward breaking the cycles of domestic violence, abuse and poverty that may prevent some children from becoming strong and sound individuals. This is accomplished through small group programming and individual services such as transportation, court services and referrals to appropriate external agencies.

Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) is provincially funded through the Ministry of Children’s Services Early Intervention Program via an annual Grant Agreement.
