Cold Lake First Nations Harvest Camp 2025

Cold Lake First Nations is proud to announce our inaugural Harvest Camp, taking place from September 17–24, 2025, at Xa Deze, Martineau River Bridge. This site has long been an important location for fall harvesting, and we are honoured to gather here once again.

The Harvest Camp will offer a range of educational and cultural activities for participants of all ages. An archaeologist will be present on site, providing an opportunity for community members to engage in archaeological digs and learn more about the deep history of the area.

Meals will be provided throughout the camp, and the site is RV friendly, ensuring families can comfortably spend time together and fully participate in the week’s activities.

The purpose of the Harvest Camp is to strengthen our community’s relationship with this part of our traditional territory while working toward the designation of the site as an Indigenous-managed conservation area. This important step will help protect the land for future generations.

We invite all members to join us at the Martineau River Bridge as we come together to learn, share, and reconnect with the land.
