Youth & Recreation

Our mission is to promote personal skill development by providing our children and our youths with opportunities and activities that build positive relationships. Our programs develop and strengthen self-esteem and confidence.

Aboriginal Head Start

Aboriginal Head Start Program is an educational program for pre-school students.

The programs objectives are designed to strengthen and prepare students with knowledge and skills needed to succeed in and out of school.

The program provides the students with an academic head start by focusing on six program components:

  • Culture and Language;
  • Health Promotion;
  • Nutrition;
  • Education/School Readiness;
  • Parent and Family Involvement; and
  • Social Support.

Programs and Services

CLFN’s Recreation and Youth Sport Program is funded through the Dene ts’edi society. This program funds 100% to a maximum of $750.00 per fiscal year/per band member. Inquire today about our programs and services.
