CLFN Member Alex Angnaluak was awarded first place over 500 submissions in the prestigious Historica Canada Indigenous Arts and Stories contest.

“My ultimate dream as an artist is to have a solo exhibition at the National Gallery of Canada,” says 24-year-old artist Alex Angnaluak, who was born in Cold Lake.

After getting first place in the prestigious Historica Canada Indigenous Arts and Stories contest last year, and now enrolled in a fine arts course at Algonquin College in Ottawa, he’s well on his way.
